CleanMax and Osaka Gas Form Joint Venture for 400 MW Renewable Energy in India

CleanMax has partnered with Osaka Gas Group in a strategic joint venture to accelerate India's green energy transition. The collaboration involves Osaka Gas Singapore PTE. LTD. (OGS) and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) investing in a new entity called Clean Max Osaka Gas Renewable Energy Private Limited (CORE).

Key Highlights of the JV
  • The joint venture aims to develop 400 MW of renewable energy, starting with ~300 MW in Karnataka.
  • This marks Osaka Gas’ first entry into India’s green energy sector, leveraging its global expertise in gas distribution.
  • JBIC, a Japanese government-backed financial institution, plays a crucial role in financing the venture.

By combining Osaka Gas’ energy expertise with CleanMax’s leadership in C&I decarbonization, this partnership will advance corporate sustainability goals and contribute to India’s renewable energy targets.
