CATL Selected as Preferred Battery Provider for UAE’s Massive Renewable Energy Project

CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited) has been chosen as the preferred battery technology provider for a groundbreaking 5.2 GW solar power and 19 GWh battery storage project in the UAE. This project will deliver 1 GW of continuous baseload power daily, marking it as the largest combined solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) in the world.

The initiative will enable 24/7 renewable energy, supporting the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031 and contributing to the country's Net Zero by 2050 goals, alongside advancing AI and emerging technologies.
