Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) Tenders 1780 NW Solar Projects at 19 Locations
Feb 01, 2025
The Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) has issued a tender for the installation of 1780 MW of solar power projects across 19 locations in the country. The tender is open until March 13, 2025, with bids to be opened on the same day.
The projects will include 70 MW and 100 MW capacities at various locations. The 70 MW projects will be built in Iswhardi, Chakaria, Pekua, and Sitakunda, while the 100 MW projects will be located in Anwara, Cox’s Bazar, Gopalganj, Ghatail, Pirganj, Faridpur, Mirsarai, Mongla, Mirzapur, Moulavibazar, Rajbari, Rupsha, Lalmonirhat, and Shambuganj.
Bidders will need to pay a tender document fee of BDT 25,000 and provide a security of $5,000 per MW. This large-scale tender follows BPDB's previous efforts, including last year’s tenders for 353 MW of grid-connected solar power projects. BPDB will fund the projects, continuing its efforts to expand Bangladesh's renewable energy infrastructure.
