B. U. Bhandari Energy Pvt. Ltd. Commissions 4.8MWp Solar Project Under MSKVY 2.0

Feb 18, 2025

Pune-based solar company, B. U. Bhandari Energy Pvt. Ltd., has successfully completed their second solar project under the MSKVY 2.0 initiative, with a capacity of 4.8 MWp. This achievement came after overcoming significant challenges, particularly installing the project on a hilly terrain. Their team designed the structures and calibrated the module strings to ensure optimal Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) and Performance Ratio (PR), key metrics in solar energy production efficiency.

Another major challenge was establishing a 'right of way' (ROW) for the transmission line from the solar project to the substation. This process required securing permissions from local authorities, erecting transmission line poles, and stringing the conductors. Despite these hurdles, their dedicated team of engineers and site workers showcased remarkable spirit and craftsmanship, ensuring the project was completed smoothly within a tight 90-day timeline.

The MSKVY 2.0 initiative aims to provide stable daytime power to farmers while reducing the electricity cost burden on industrial consumers. It is a part of a broader effort to enhance India's renewable energy capacity while supporting the agricultural and industrial sectors. Currently, they are executing 75 MWp under this initiative, having successfully completed two projects, both within the same 90-day timeframe.
