Assam Power Distribution Company (APDCL) Invites Bids for 1000 MW Solar Project's Pooling Substation in Assam

The Assam Power Distribution Company (APDCL) has issued a tender for the development of a 400 kV/33 kV pooling substation for a 1000 MW solar power project in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district. The last date for bid submission is May 5, 2025, with the bid opening scheduled for the same day.

To participate, bidders must submit a security deposit of Rs3.5 crore and complete the project within 18 months. The project is being financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Financially, bidders must have a minimum annual turnover of Rs280 crore over the last five years and show the capacity to meet the estimated project cost of Rs55 crore. They must also have completed at least one 400 kV Air Insulated Substation (AIS) project in the last seven years. Additional requirements include the operationalization of two 132 kV transformers of at least 50 MVA and five AIS circuit breaker bays of 132 kV, along with experience in control and relay panel setup, automation systems, and substation infrastructure development.
