AMPIN Energy & Nxtra Expand Green Energy Pact to Over 200 MW Capacity

AMPIN Energy Transition and Nxtra by Airtel have strengthened their green energy partnership with a new power wheeling agreement that adds 205,167 MWh of renewable energy supply. This agreement, facilitated through ISTS-connected solar-wind hybrid projects, takes Nxtra’s total contracted renewable energy capacity with AMPIN beyond 200 MW.

The additional capacity will be delivered in two phases from captive projects located in Rajasthan and Karnataka. The green power will be used to supply Nxtra’s data centres across 11 new states, further expanding their earlier collaboration in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Odisha. The initiative is expected to offset approximately 149,156 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, significantly supporting Nxtra’s decarbonisation and sustainability goals.

This development underlines AMPIN’s capabilities in executing large-scale hybrid renewable projects and highlights Nxtra’s commitment to cleaner energy solutions for its data infrastructure.
