Amazon India Leadership Visits Waaree’s Chikhli Facility to Strengthen Solar Partnership

Amazon India’s leadership team recently visited Waaree Energies’ largest solar module and cell manufacturing facility located in Chikhli, Gujarat. The visit underscored both companies’ shared commitment to advancing India’s clean energy ecosystem. Waaree’s leadership team — including Chairman & MD Dr. Hitesh Doshi, Mr. Amit Paithankar, and Mrs. Chaitali Doshi — hosted Amazon executives Mr. Srikanth K N, Mr. Naren Nandakumar, Mr. Soumya Chakrabarty, and Mr. Rishikesh Baviskar.

This strategic engagement was aimed at deepening collaboration between Waaree and Amazon to scale solar solutions on the e-commerce platform. Amazon’s team explored Waaree’s extensive manufacturing capabilities, including solar cell and module production lines, the NABL-accredited testing lab, and the small and flexible module assembly areas. The site visit provided Amazon with insights into Waaree’s operational excellence, product quality standards, and technological innovations.

The visit also included a symbolic tree plantation ceremony, reinforcing both organizations’ commitment to sustainability and green initiatives. The interaction is expected to open new avenues for synergies, helping to promote solar energy adoption among a wider consumer base via Amazon’s digital marketplace. The partnership between Waaree and Amazon India aligns with the broader goal of enabling sustainable commerce and accelerating India’s transition to renewable energy sources.
