Aditya Birla Renewables Appoints Amit Jain as CEO to Drive Global Growth

Aditya Birla Renewables Ltd. has announced the appointment of Amit Jain as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective April 2, 2025, following approval from its Board on March 31. Jain brings with him over 30 years of leadership experience across the renewables, power, oil & gas, and telecom infrastructure sectors, signaling a strategic move to bolster the company’s growth trajectory and global ambitions.

Jain previously served as the Global CEO of Sterling Wilson Renewable Energy Group, where he played a pivotal role in transforming its financial performance, tripling its market capitalization, and spearheading global market expansion. Under his leadership, the company delivered 1.7 GW of solar projects and established a strong presence in Australia and the USA.

His earlier roles include managing multi-billion-dollar oil & gas projects at Punj Lloyd across the Middle East, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia, and overseeing major telecom infrastructure deployments for entities such as Power Grid Corporation of India and GAIL.

Jain holds a Civil Engineering degree from Delhi College of Engineering and a Master’s in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi. His appointment is expected to strengthen Aditya Birla Renewables' strategic initiatives in scaling operations, expanding into new geographies, and advancing India's clean energy transition.
