Adani Green Energy Q1 Profit Jumps 60% on Robust RE Capacity Additions

Jul 29, 2025

Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) recorded a 60% year-on-year surge in net profit, reaching Rs713 crore in Q1 FY26 compared to Rs446 crore in the same period last year. The company’s total revenue from operations also increased significantly by 36% to Rs3,800 crore, while EBITDA rose 28% to Rs3,042 crore.

A major driver of this performance was AGEL’s addition of 1.6 GW of greenfield renewable energy capacity in Q1, contributing to a total of 4.9 GW added over the past year—underscoring its leadership in India’s energy transition. The company's installed RE capacity now stands at 15.8 GW.

CEO Ashish Khanna credited the company’s investments in high-resource locations such as Khavda (Gujarat), Rajasthan, and Andhra Pradesh for the exceptional operational and financial outcomes. Khavda alone accounted for 2.46 GW of solar, 585 MW of wind, and 534 MW of hybrid capacity.

AGEL remains on track to achieve its 2030 target of 50 GW renewable capacity, which includes at least 5 GW of hydro pumped storage and significant battery storage deployment. The focus on storage solutions is set to further bolster the company’s future growth and grid reliability contributions.
