6 MW Wind Power Project Bid Invitation at V.O. Chidambaranar Port

The V.O. Chidambaranar Port Authority has invited bids for the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) of a 6 MW wind power project in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. The bids must be submitted by May 8, 2025, with the opening scheduled for May 9, 2025. The estimated cost of the project is Rs60.92 crore, and the successful bidder will need to provide operation and maintenance services for 11 years.

To participate, bidders must provide an earnest money deposit of Rs1.22 crore and meet specific technical criteria, including completing three similar works valued at 40% of the project cost or a single work valued at 80% of the estimated cost. They must also have an annual turnover of at least 30% of the project cost in the last three financial years.

The scope of the project includes design, engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of wind turbine generators, along with grid connectivity to the Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Company. The project must be completed within six months of the commencement date. Additionally, turbines must be approved under the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers and have been in operation for at least one year.
